well...

the thing about using an instrument like this one is that it's not gonna work well in a major progression. Like the imagery i'm getting from this is a bunch of shirtless hardstyle fans skipping on beat moving there arms back and forth like a jig with really angry faces... it just ends up looking lame and doesn't fit at all.

basically if you added some variation in this as far as drums and stuff goes, and just change the chord progression to minor, you wouldn't have gotten a zero.

2/5 not all that bad.

i know the sound is to high pitch but i will fix it asap ;)

another 8bit fan, good to hear!

I also love 8bit, its where its at (i sampled some IT's in my most recent one as it happens) but yea dude, the arp worked really well! a lot of people think 8bit is easy to make because the instruments are pretty simple, but there's so much more to it people don't know about. However, it seems that you're among those who do. Melody work is nice, volumes all vibing quite nicely.

im 5'in this shit. and may i ask, where did you get your drums ?

Namahsaron responds:

thanks, man! nice to meet another 8 bit appreciator. :D

Man, this thing is only a minute and a half long, and i was working on it for nearly 13 hours total, 95% of that all today... where do people get off saying 8 bit is easy? e_e

The drums? well, i kind of had to 'make' them myself, i guess... the way FamiTracker works is that you have to tweak the noise channel instruments to make percussion what you want it to be, and the rhythm is a matter of arranging the notes on the noise channel to make the desired rhythm, and copypasting the fuck out of it in the noise column. it's hard to explain the technical aspect of how i use it, so i apologize if i'm being terribly hard to understand. x_x;;

why da score so LOW?

dude, this is pretty legit. pretty nice mastering on the vocals with the filtered delay and such (is that you singing?) overall very nice feel to it. you've got the atmosphere down really well in the beginning and the end with what appeared to be orca calls... anyways, this is way too good for 1.54 score!! same stuff' s'happened to me.

im 5'in this a couple times for sure ;D

Tissueboxhero responds:

Thanks for the input, its very much appreciated! Buhhh yeah thats me singing :)

i would rather

lie in this song that listen to broken glass. This was jammin pretty nice at a bunch of parts. Took a little while to get up though... i would recommend balancing out the points of interest, have some long sweeps and more anticipation built in- make us want the climax. also, once the climax did hit, i was a bit disappointed in the preset sound pallet, i guess it was only the drums is where i had trouble.

anyways, my point is this song is good, but it has the building blocks for something even greater! i'd say replace some drums (and that one crash instrument >.<) drop the bass and have some more fun with it.

4/5

I've kept an account on here for several years now. So to keep with the progression of my skills, I'm creating a new account. I'll put up my music and animations here until I have the energies to make my own site.
